Unwind with daytime outings in Mo’Bay (Montego Bay) and be energizing by 3 nights of performances. In Ochos Rios, hang out at the classy Bamboo Blu Beach Club for good food, drinks and water sports. Relax in the comfort of our new 3 bedroom villa with a private chef in St. Ann. Head to the rainforest mountains and take a dip, swim or dive in the Blue Hole, a hidden natural sinkhole and waterfall. Thurs, Jul 19 Arrival / Reggae Sumfest Heavy Weight Sound Clash
Your host for the trip, Rohan welcomes you at Montego Bay International Airport. Rest up in the Caribbean sun at the private Doctors Cave Beach Club where your lounge chair, and umbrella await. Grab some food and drinks. Enjoy time in the ocean: go snorkeling or a ride in the Glass Bottom boat and explore the life in the marine preserve. For more adventure, take a ride in a speed boat, go paragliding or even jet skiing. At night we head out to the Heavy Weight Sound Clash to witness Jamaica’s unique competitions where sound systems compete for the winning title. Your stay for the first 3 nights in Mo’bay will be at a 5 star hotel.
Fri, Jul 20 Hip Strip / Reggae Sumfest, International Night 1
Get a slow start to the day with a breakfast of your choice. Try the local specialty, Jamaican Ackee and Saltfish. We’ll hit up the Hip Strip for some sightseeing and souvenir shopping. Drop into the renown Margaritaville bar and restaurant and take the plunge from a 120-foot water slide into the ocean. Rest up for our night departure to Reggae Sumfest where top artists entertain the crowds till dawn. Vendors offer food, drinks and souvenirs.
Sat, Jul 21 Free Day / Reggae Sumfest, International Night 2
Take it easy during the day and based on your preference, go out locally for some rest and relaxation. Tonight is the last night and finale of Sumfest where new performers hit the stage.
Sun, Jul 22 Discovery Bay / Ochos Rios
After brunch, we drive along the north coast to Ochos Rios, our base for the rest of the trip. We’ll stop by the quaint seaside town of Discovery Bay where Columbus was once thought to have landed. Lime (hang out Jamaican style) with drinks overlooking the azure cove. In the afternoon, we’ll check into our private villas in St Ann. Relax and make yourselves at home.
Mon, Jul 23 Bamboo Blu Beach Club / Uptown Mondays, Kingston
Spend the day chilling at Bamboo Blu Beach Club, a classy private beachfront venue. Stretch out on cabana beds and enjoy your favorite drink. Sample the island ingredients at the restaurant: grilled lobster, conch soup, “Jerkiest chicken”, and snapper in coconut sauce. Get active with a snorkel tour, kayaking, paddle boarding, even a wild jet pack ride. In the evening, dress to impress and head out to Kingston to Uptown Mondays, a longstanding outdoor dancehall party. Mix and mingling with locals, check out the latest moves and get down to the booty shaking sounds of the sound system.
Tues, Jul 24 Blue Hole / Bolts Track and Field Restaurant and Lounge
After a hot night, spend the day cooling off in the spring waters of the Blue Hole, a sinkhole and waterfall hidden in the rainforest mountains above Ochos Rios. We’ll bring a delicious packed lunch. Take a swim in the rejuvenating water, walk down the waterfall, do a cliff dive or explore the cave behind the waterfall. In the evening, we’ll treat you to dinner and drinks at Usain Bolt’s Track and Field Restaurant and Lounge to commemorate your last night in Jamaica. Known as “the fastest man alive”, the eight-time Olympic gold medal runner’s popular venue serves good Jamaican-fusion food in a contemporary setting.
Wed, Jul 25 Drop-off / Departure
Rohan will see you off to your departing flight at Montego Bay. We wish you a safe flight home. We’re happy to show you more of Jamaica next time!
Accommodations
Make yourself at home at our newly built private villa located in a charming gated community of St. Ann, minutes from the beach and 10 minutes to attractions in Ochos Rios. The 3 bedroom/3 bathroom villas are spacious with all the modern comforts and amenities. It includes a full kitchen, laundry, cable TV, Wi-Fi, and a community facility with swimming pool, gym and tennis courts. The bar is stocked with your preferred drinks.
